Artwork Description

I thought of painting taiyaki because it is visually appealing to me, and with my teacher's suggestion, I gave it a local twist. In class, we learned that even in Singapore there are children who do not have much to eat every day, and I feel like those who have enough to provide for themselves and their families should try their best not to waste food. The patterns I created around the taiyaki came about unexpectedly. I initially intended to just use a solid colour, but along the way I got some paint on the background by accident and needed to cover it up. I'm proud of how I adapted and I think the fun patterns made the artwork turn out even better.
