A Dragon's Appetite

I find it interesting to use the whimsical and fantastical to mirror our own character and issues that exist in reality. The idea began with the thought of dragons and their obsessive hoarding of treasures they have no need for. In choosing to depict the local icon of Singapore�s dragon playground, the western dragon lore was dropped, focusing solely on the dragon�s intensity. At times we can be intense about food: a country of foodies constantly on the hunt, the pride of being able to provide abundantly, the belief of �too much is better than too little�, often allowing ourselves to minimise the perceived consequences of wastage. We don�t all have a dragon�s appetite, and I hope to remind people that we can do with just what we need.
